    • American Press Institute  Newspaper publishers founded this institute in 1946. Its mission is the training and improvement of the new industry and journalism educators. The research areas may prove helpful for students completing assignments
    • Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) The Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) is a nonpartisan research and educational organization which conducts scientific studies of news and entertainment media
    • Committee of Concerned Journalists The Committee of Concerned Journalists is a consortium of journalists, publishers, owners and academics worried about the future of the profession

    • Committee to Project Journalists CPJ promotes press freedom worldwide and defends the right of journalists to report the news without fear of reprisal. CPJ ensures the free flow of news and commentary by taking action wherever journalists are attacked, imprisoned, killed, kidnapped, threatened, censored, or harassed.
